All citrus fruits originate in China, but lemons are now grown throughout Southern Europe, North West America and the Middle East. The average Lemon tree if grown in a warm enough climate, will continually produce fruit all year which is good as it takes 1,000 whole lemons to yield just 650g of essential oil.

In the practice of aromatherapy, Lemon is used to uplift feelings of depression, low spirits and anxiety. When applied in a massage blend, this stimulating oil will also help to detox the lymphatic system and improve circulation.

Directions

If applied in a massage blend, wait 12 hours before exposing skin to strong UV light or sunlight. For external use only. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Avoid contact with sensitive areas, such as eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use essential oils on children under 5 years old. Consult your healthcare professional before using essential oils during pregnancy. Best kept in a cool dry place. Naturally occurring allergens: Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene and Linalool. Massage: Dilute the essential oil first. To do this mix up 5 drops of pure essential oil, or blend of oils per 10ml (1 tablespoon) of vegetable oil or lotion blending base. Bathing: Add 3-5 drops of essential oil, or blends of oil the agitate the water.
