Have some fruit especially apples, and lots of green leafy vegetables to ensure plenty of fiber. Lecithin granules can be added to cereal, soup, or drinks and are an ideal food to support cholesterol reduction. Drink up to 2 liters of water per day. Beetroot juice, hawthorn tea, or cider vinegar added to water, are nice extras you can do.

It is easy to remember the things to avoid but it is equally important to add in foods to support the reduction of cholesterol too.

My story

Last year my cholesterol was high it was 6.9. I successfully reduced it by using natural supplements that contained a mixture of red rice yeast, cinnamon, and plant sterols, CoQ10 and a fish oil supplement. I also made some dietary, and lifestyle changes in line with what is listed above. In the meantime the old habits slipped back in and I know well that my cholesterol will have gone back up again.
