Oolong tea is a semi-fermented tea and is between a green and black tea. Therefore, it is often referred to as a "brown" or "red" tea. For oolong tea, the tea leaves are allowed to wilt in the sun after they have been picked. They are then stored in a room to rest; then the fermentation process takes place.
The Black Oolong has a lush, shimmering golden brown colour, reminiscent of amber. The bitter, earthy and slightly malty scent mirrors the strong roast flavour of the tea.
