Arame is a popular sea vegetable in Japanese cooking. Its semi-sweet and moreish flavour makes it an excellent way to introduce nutritious sea vegetables into your diet. It can be sautéed or simply boiled after reconstituting for use in a wide array of dishes including soups, stews and salads or stir-fries, curries and casseroles.

Dried Arame sea vegetable (Eisenia bicyclis)
To prepare, wash then soak the arame in cool water for 30 minutes. (Note: It will double in size). Drain, rinse then cook for 20 minutes.
