Cacao from this region is celebrated for its smooth texture and layered taste. Chuncho, once enjoyed by the Incas, is still traditionally harvested by their descendants, the Machiguenga tribe. Saoró works closely with local cooperatives that support Indigenous cacao producers, helping to maintain traditional farming practices and sustainable livelihoods.
