Is stress holding you back from getting a good nights’ sleep? Stress and tension can keep you awake with worrying thoughts and anxiety or sore muscles from tension. Lack of sleep can have a dramatic effect on your health so it is important to try to get back on track. Deep and good quality sleep is associated with stabilised glucose levels, overall body restoration, and is vital for maintaining good mental health. Over time poor sleep can lead to problems such as anxiety, depression, poor concentration, and weight gain. So it is important to try to get back on track with sleep. Reducing the effects of stress you are experiencing during the daytime will help you by the time your head hits the pillow.
Supplements to help with sleep
There are lots of supplements to help but Magnesium is one of the most sought-after ones to help get you to nod off. Many of you find it brilliant. The main reason that magnesium helps so well is that with busy lives you burn up magnesium stores and this can leave you with tense, sore, and tired muscles. It is known as nature's tranquiliser! Magnesium can help support relaxation as it contributes to normal muscle function, and the normal functioning of the nervous system, so you can get to sleep more quickly. When it comes to magnesium there are many different types, it can be confusing. However, when it comes to sleep Magnesium BisGlycinate is the preferred choice of magnesium as it is highly absorbable. You’ll find lots of supplements like One Nutrition Magnesium BisGlycinate capsules that you could try, it’s 100% Pure with no fillers or unnecessary additives.
Other supplements like Ashwagandha may help to ease daytime stress and help you feel more balanced during the day which in turn could lead to you getting a better sleep. One Nutrition Ashwagandha has added Magnesium and Zinc.
If it is overthinking thoughts, worry, or feelings of panic are keeping you awake, then, L-Theanine is a great option, it may help to slow these thoughts. L-Theanine combines well with magnesium, and relaxing herbs like Lemon Balm and Chamomile. New Nordic Melissa Dream tablets is one supplement that contains all of these in one formula.
Or if you prefer you can use BetterYou Magnesium Goodnight Sleep Spray. This contains magnesium with essential oils sage and bergamot to promote deep relaxation.
