Anxiety can affect your focus

Recently I was feeling some anxiety and stress and it was affecting my mood and my focus. Most of the anxiety I could name and give reason for. But naming the cause or reason did not relieve the symptoms I was feeling. I have been trying to do mini meditations to relax, but I haven’t got the time (or so I tell myself).

What is causing your anxiety?

For example, at Natural Health Store we were building our new online store. As you know, it's up and running now which is very exciting. But it was stressful for us pulling it all together.

I had articles to prepare, radio interviews, advertising campaigns to organise. To tell you the truth, I was feeling the pressure while covering for holidays on the shop floor too.

One of the things I noticed was that when anxiety was high my mind would go blank. This is fair enough if I am just considering what article to write about but not great when I am in the middle of a radio interview.
